we went on a hike

we took a hike the other weekend while we were on our mini vacation.  hanging lake proved to be a silly little thing.  the hike started off dry, quite warm and manageable.  only a quarter of the way in and it got chilly, snow/slush covered and tricky.  we managed.  we conquered.  we got there.

colorado never fails to make me happy, even on the strangest of hikes.

moutanin weekend part 2

my mom had a wicked headache on sunday so we left her with a quiet campsite, some goldfish crackers and water then headed up for a hike.  it was a nice opportunity to get out with just my dad and jared.  we originally didn't plan on hiking the entire 6.3 mile loop but didn't feel like stopping once we got started.
