birthday celebration // floral crown

a couple of weeks ago i decided that i would wear flowers in my hair on my birthday. 

why would you not?

i sent out an email to sarah at ladybird poppy and asked if she'd be up for making a floral crown the saturday after valentines day.  

she said yes.

we were both super excited to see what could be created.

i'm pretty sure sarah crawled into my brain and photo copied my ideas.  

the colors.

the flower choices.

the size even! (i have THE biggest head ever!!)

29 // woah.

i celebrated my 29th birthday on the 16th.  it was a day full of treats.  i woke up early and went to get my hair done, ate breakfast with my honey, thrifted some great books, drank a chocolate milk shake and wore flowers in my hair.  the best birthday ever i'd say.

give your change to the homeless.  knit a scarf.  make it all about you.

sometimes i find myself trying to understand graffiti.   most of the time i realize they don't need it to be understood, just admired.

celebrate // j's birthday

just over a week ago we celebrated j's 27th birthday in the mountains.  we went tubing, ate some expensive mexican food (we both prefer the cheap stuff) and held hands.
